Chelsea Mass FD - radio info

1. can confirm that the Broadcastify feed for Chelsea Mass FD does
relay traffic from Ch1 + Ch2 + Ch3 - on the 9am radio check, Car 3 was
heard testing with the dispatcher on all 3 channels

2. can confirm by over the air monitoring that "Channel 3" is 470.0875
R - at 901 am heard Car 3 test with the Chelsea dispatcher - both were
heard loud and clear hear 10 miles to the west - so that indicates
that a repeater was definitely in use - (otherwise there is no way
that we would have heard Car 3)

What this means is - Chelsea Mass FD - with 3 stations - has 3 of
their own repeater channels - and it is possible that none of them are
used for firescene comms - it is possible that "MetroNorth Fireground"
is used as their firescene channel - or maybe "MetroCentral
Fireground" - both of those Metro FG channels are shared with multi
FDs - and both are short range simplex channels

more or less the same goes for the adjacent Everett FD and Revere FD -
they both have 1 repeaterized tactical channel each - but it is
possible that they never use them for firescene operations

bottom line - 4 radio channels - no users - and Boston seems to have
just 3 repeaterized onscene channels - Boston could certainly use 4
more repeaterized tac channels - but someone would have to spend some
money to install new repeaters and what not
