- comms were mostly OK - some crackly - everyone did a radio check
indicating that they know that the radio system is weak and prone to
dropouts - and all of those radio checks might have been done with
mobile radios instead of portable radios - portable radio put out 5
watts - mobile radios might put out 35 watts - so the portable radios
would be more crackly than the mobile radios
- a mixture of first names and unit names were used as IDs
