DEFIANCE Co., Ohio (WTVG) - The Defiance County Commissioners are
working to find alternative ways to fund a new fire station in the
Ney-Washington Township area.
The current fire station in the area is 125 years old and is too small
for modern fire trucks.
Voters already approved a levy to fund a new building but according to
township trustees, construction costs have jumped by $2,000.
The president of the Defiance County Commissioners said they are
currently looking to see if state bond funding would be available to
cover the gap in costs for the station.
