state offered to help - Maui County declined
not really sure what resources the state could offer - maybe honolulu
FD could have put a couple of trucks on a ferry - if they have any
ocean going ferries - but that would have taken hours probably
maybe military has some C130s or C17s to fly some fire trucks to Maui County
