https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/laco-fire-dispatch-channels.476933/
basic procedure is - calls are announced on U1 - units respond on the D channels
just listened to U1 via Broadcastify - dispatcher is reading off the
calls as they are dispatched - format is - units assigned + type of
call + address - 1 engine to a CO alarm - diabetic got eng and sqd -
eng and squad to sick person - quint and squad to sob at sheriff sta -
E92 to rubbish fire - Eng and squad to unconscious person
the d channel dispatchers also voice their calls - but only give full
info by radio as needed - which is apparently when the unit is out of
the station and away from a MDT - which tells us that MDT is
considered to be the primary means of dispatch
no mention of the private ambulances
no mention of any cross streets

historical info
I'm going further back,
Basin dispatch, 154.43
Valley dispatch 154.34
Antelope dispatch 154.40
and two VHF tacs that I can't remember
These were back in the early 70's (Emergency TV show days)
Tac 4 154.265 Rarely used
Tac 5 154.295.
antelope = malibu + santa clarita + gorman + lancaster
valley = covina area iirc
======================
also good info about catalina island - everyone is on uhf now and is
dispatched by the sheriff office on the island - which is very unique
there are 3 fire stations on the island - avalon city fd + county 55 +
county 155 - avalon city fd provides the ground bls ambulance service
on the island - baywatch provides marine ems - baywatch also provides
als islandwide - which is also very unique
