no one sent to check the bridge
any ambulances sent to Manhattan side ?
no status report in first 15 minutes - no exact location of ship - did
anyone give any directions to any responding units - confusion about
where to send ambulances
first meaningful report was from dispatcher saying that a tugboat was
taking victims to Brooklyn pier
very unusual call of course
just occurred to me - there might hjave been bodies up on the bridge
(there was video from the bridge when the boat hit - there were about
20 pedestrians right there on the pedestrian / bicycle walkway - many
with cellphones running - they ran from 1 side of the bridge to the
other)
