first alarm got 4 eng + 1 truck - then Alert 5 - then 5 ambs - Alert 5
must have been a automatic 2nd alarm - no 2nd alarm was ever announced
though - but Truck 14 was there - unless that is a Navy fire truck

send me 5 ambulances - you already have 5 ambulances - do you want a
total of 10? - never mind
we have always liked the chicago system - everyone should use it -
Plan 1 - 5 ambs - Plan 2 - 5 more - Plan 3 - 5 more - Plan 4 - 5 more
- Plan 5 - 5 more
even that could get screwed up - depending on how the SOP is wording -
should be something like - Plan 1 means -'assign enough additional
ambulances to ensure that a total of 5 ambulances are assigned to the
incident' - Plan 2 means - 'assign enough ambs to ensure that 10
ambulances are assigned to the incident'
bottom line - after the Plan 1 - every request for another Plan gets 5
more ambulances
of course their policy might be even sweeter - lets say they send 3
ambs to a bus crash and then call for a Plan 1 - the Plan 1 might get
them 5 more ambs for a total of 8 - (or maybe they get 2 more for a
total of 5) - 5 more for a total of 8 would be sweet
of course the best way to do it is like London UK FD - make pumps 10 -
make ambulances 20 - very simple - no more confusion about anything
yadda yadda yadda
