there seems to be alot missing from this story

if there were 2 models available ... and 1 model was having problems
... why didnt they stop inserting the bad models?

my guess is ... both models had very low rates of trouble ... and the
difference between them was small

but this article does not tell us the total number of items inserted

it just tells us that 2,000 have bad models now

19K got the bad device ... majority since 2014 when fda knew it was
bad ... maybe 3,000 have died ... so around 9,000 got the device after
the FDA knew it was bad
