Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF)
Airports that have regularly scheduled commercial service utilizing
aircraft with ten or more passenger seats are required to have
available aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) services. These
airports must follow regulations outlined in 14 CFR Part 139, which
includes the ability of ARFF responders to reach
the center of the runway within three minutes of an emergency.
