sooner or later we are going to be able to confirm the difference
between 151.16 and 154.43 - have not been able to confirm anything yet
- we have always assumed that 151.16 is the main channel with paging
and response and home channel traffic - we are assuming that 154.43 is
usually quiet except when in use as a command channel on a specific
incident - time will tell
historically - 1960s and 1970s - 151.16 was CDF channel and 154.43 was
county fire dispatch channel - at some point - maybe in the 1990s -
that changed
if their goal is to have a repeaterized command channel available for
every incident - they do not seem to have very many options - they
have 154.43 R and Cal Fire Command 1 and Cal Fire Command 2 and Cal
Fire Command 9 - but Cmd 9 might have just 1 or 2 repeaters - and Cmd
1 and Cmd 2 are shared statewide
Shasta Natl Forest is also in the area but they have just Forest Net
with 16 repeaters and Service Net with 4 repeaters - and they have
several simplex channels for district nets (unknown if there are any
base stations on those district nets)
openmhz and/or broadcastify calls already has one of these 'all
message' feeds in the area - but the some of the channels seem to be
mislabeled
