Logan FD radio test at 8 am today - heard via 453.90R - this is aka
the Massport FD at Logan

C5 - C5 mobile - Engine 2 - Engine 200 - Eng 201 - Eng 202 - Eng 3 -
Eng 300 - Eng 301 - Eng 4 - Eng 400 - Eng 401 - Truck 1 - Truck 100 -
Truck 101 - Truck 102 - Rescue 1 - Rescue 100 - Rescue 101 - Eng 5 -
Eng 500 - Eng 501 - Eng 6 - Eng 600 - Eng 601 - Marine 31 - Marine 32
- 3100 - 3101 - 3102 - 3103 - Eng 7 - HazMat 1 - Stair Truck 1 - Foam
1 - details

the hundreds are the portables

Eng 5 and Eng 6 are apparently at Sta 2

the units without portable radios are apparently reserve or cross manned

C5 is the shift commander in his SUV

my guess at staffing is -

C5 - 1 chief

Eng 2 - 1 officer and 2 FF

Truck 1 - 1 officer and 2 FF

Rescue 1 - 2 people

E3 E4 E5 E6 - large ARFF units with 2 people each

Marine 31 is big fireboat - Marine 32 is approx 25 foot fireboat -
looks like they have 4 people between the 2 boats since they have 4
portable radios - but maybe they really only have 2 people who usually
stay at the boat station

some radios gave a cool echo - instead of feedback

"details" are the off duty firefighters working OT to supervise
welding projects around the airport - maybe confined space projects
also

the big list of portable radio IDs/callsigns for Massachusetts was updated -
