hearing on the scanner feed today - pager tone set - then - dispatcher
says - testing UHF backup radio for Sta XX YY ZZ etc - acknowledge on
base station - then the station is heard acknowledging verbally
("Station 80 received" - and maybe a fcc callsign was given)
so the RR info is maybe bad in 2 ways - real backup is on UHF not VHF
- and repeater(s) are used (not just bases) - (based on fact that
stations and dispatcher are being heard equally loud and clear on the
feed)
stations tested - 70s group at 1146 edt - sta 41 ish at 1141 am edt -
stations 83 84 86 at 1148 - sta 76 and 80 at 1150 - both heard
replying - 1104 am was sta 92 93 99 - these might be geographical
groupings or numerical groupings
